"Time Won't Let Me" by The Outsiders.
OK, boys and girls, more 60s one-hit-wonders: This Cleveland-based band was formed in 1958 as the Starfires. They eventually changed their name. Their only hit came in 1966 with a Tom King/Chet Kelly garage-rock classic. A man waits impatiently for a commitment from the woman he loves. #5 Billboard Hot 100, RIAA Certified Gold. Lead vocals by Sonny Geraci and dynamite guitar riff by Al Austin. Band? Hit?
Answer: "Time Won't Let Me" by the Outsiders. Sonny Geraci eventually became the lead singer for Climax, another one-hit-wonder with "Precious and Few" ('72). Sweet Gretsch Chet Atkins Country Gentleman (Harrison Model) on the video (what did you expect, it was 1966 after all?!)!
