"The Hokey Pokey".

OK, boys and girls, a little Sunday catechism: It is rumored that this wedding reception staple song mocks, and is derived from, old (Latin) Roman Catholic traditions. Tune? Answer: "The Hokey Pokey"! Theories abound but some say that it originated as a mockery of the priest's movements in the old Catholic mass in Latin, where the celebrant faced away from the congregation. Supposedly the title was derived from "hoc est enim corpus meum". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpharBeg9XA&list=RDvpharBeg9XA&start_radio=1
