"Take Good Care of My Baby" by Bobby Vee.

OK, girls and boys, back to the 60s: This classic 1961 Carole King/Gerry Goffin pop composition was a #1 hit for Bobby Vee. It was part of the now infamous '62 Beatles Decca auditions (rejected in favor of The Tremeloes - they're STILL kicking themselves in the behind!). Bobby Vinton (aka The Polish Prince +/- Mr. Lonely) took it to #33 in '68. Also covered by Dion and Gary Lewis and The Playboys. "A message from the old boyfriend to the new one. The narrator makes clear in the open he’s devastated by his loss, but out of the goodness of his heart, he wants his ex’s new guy to treat her in the best way possible" (what a nice guy!). Song? Answer: Bobby Vee's "Take Good Care Of My Baby". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awNqLO6auQA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpYYuVONZZk
