Lost Bands of the 60s.

OK, boys and girls, back to the 60s: Those of us that grew up in the 60s (i.e., born in the 50s) remember those days as the era of the legendary The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, The Byrds... There were, however, many groups that, in their heyday, frequently topped the charts but then mysteriously disappeared from the spotlight. From hit singles and albums, these bands are now forgotten relics. Perennially on the radio and TV, they are now echoes of a lost era. Name ten of those bands. GO!!! My answer: 10.) The Turtles. "Happy together", "Elenore", "She'd Rather Be with Me" ... 9.) The Tremeloes. "Silence is Golden", "Here Comes My Baby"... 8.) The Grass Roots. "Let's Live For Today", "Midnight Confessions", "Melody For You"... 7.) Paul Revere and The Raiders. "Kicks", "Just Like Me"... 6.) The Zombies. "Time of the Season", "She's Not There"... 5.) The Association. "Cherish", "Windy", "Never My Love"... 4.) The Beau Brummels. "Just a Little", "Laugh, Laugh"... 3.) The Lovin' Spoonful. "Do You Believe in Magic?", "Daydream", "Summer in the City"... 2.) The Hollies. "Stop, Stop, Stop", "Bus Stop", "He Ain't Heavy, He's my Brother"... 1.) The Yardbirds. "For Your Love", "Shapes of Things", "Heart Full of Soul". At different points in their existence, The Yardbirds had in their lineup three of the best guitarists in the history of rock - Eric Clapton (1963-1965), Jeff Beck (1965-1966) and Jimmy Page (1966-1968). So there! How did you do?
