"All My Loving" by The Beatles.

OK, boys and girls, more Fabdom: This 1963 Sir Paul composition represents the first time that he ever wrote the lyrics first and then the melody. He has very rarely done that since. Dedicated to his then girlfriend Jane Asher. Loosely derived from The Dave Brubeck Quartet's "Kathy's Waltz". Originally conceived as a Country and Western tune, George plays Nashville-style guitar on that big ol' Gretsch evocative of Chet Atkins. It was never released as a single in either the UK or the U.S. Peaked at #45 on Billboard's Hot 100 and it topped the Canadian charts. According to John, "...it's a damn good piece of work...but I play a pretty mean guitar in back...". It was the opening number on The Beatles' first performance at The Ed Sullivan Show 2/9/64. Song?
